Provincetown would be an entire day. If you did side trips to places such as Salem , that is an entire day for each. Lots of historical sites and easy access on the train to Cambridge and Harvard Square and Somerville. Maybe you could advise? This seems to be in a central location. Hi again, -- I looked at the Airbed site and am not sure which you had in mind but Columbus Ave. I would be wary to the Memorial Drive locations because they are far from good public transportation.
Beacon St. Brookline is a long street so one end is very close to downtown and the other end is a major trek, but there is a streetcar line on Beacon St. The areas are all good. I noticed one room in Davis Sq. It may be more convenient than the Mem. Let us know where you end up. I would also suggest not staying on Memorial Drive.

You would either have a very long walk to the nearest train station or would need to keep track of bus schedules. Although the trains The T are generally easy for getting around, some of the bus routes can be a pain. Columbus Ave near Prudential is a good area and very convenient.
As mentioned above, Davis Square is a nice area. Kind of hip and cool, lots of great restaurants and funky shops and the Red Line of the T is right there and can get you easily to connections of other T lines in Downtown Boston. Skip to main content.
