We were seated to the side so we only saw the back of the dancers for the most part. I am glad I do not eat meat, as the chicken looked dry and stringy, and from what I heard from people who did eat it, they spent the next day, all day in the bathroom. Also you were promised a selection of drinks, which they did not provide. The only options were red wine, that tasted like vinegar totally undrinkable , coke and water. The safari park is fantastic.
I recommend visiting. The animals were happy and healthy and many of them liked being petted. The tigers, and lions etc were beautiful and their enclosures are large and well maintained. Me and my husband stayed here for 1week, the hotel is clean, staff are friendly and helpful, hotel is extremely extremly close to the beach.. Entertainment is good.. Kitchen staff are very very friendly.. I would recommend this hotel however don't forget to take an iron or kettle as you can only get one on request.. We spent last New Years in Tunisia. It was a great week away although the weather was a little inclement at times.

We have stayed in this hotel once before, before it became all inclusive and were suitably impressed with the food, drink and the customer service that we received. The room was adequate and comfortable although the bathroom was in need of refurbishment. We had great sea view and I would purchase this as an extra. Food was plentiful and the choice was adequate. The New Year Gala dinner was a bit hectic but the food was very good indeed. The entertainment team were very good and went above and beyond the call of duty. This holiday was excellent value for money.
This was our 9th visit to Tunisia in the last 7 years, having stayed at several hotels in Sousse, Port El Kantaoui and Hammamet. This was our first Tunisian 4 star hotel so we had high hopes. Good points: The reception area is spacious, the receptionists friendly and efficient.
Most of the staff are friendly. The whole place is clean, rooms well-kept, the Wi-Fi is free and available throughout, and the corridors are carpeted, so there are none of the loud echoes which is typical of 3 star Tunisian hotels.
Hence 4 stars. Bad points: Smoking is allowed in the Main bar area and this permeates throughout the hotel. We put the bath mat under our room door to minimise the smell. This is the worst hotel we have stayed at regarding getting the waiter to fetch your drinks at mealtimes. We got our own most of the time. It didn't escape us that Germans on nearby tables were getting theirs promptly. We tipped if they gave us this service, but refrained if they didn't.
Food was tasteless, repetitive, and for the first time ever we had to queue while food was being cooked. Your chips, veg. Chips were mostly overcooked or undercooked. Breakfast was normal Tunisian fayre, bland attempts at hot food, but the continental choice was fine. Eggs cooked to order was the best option, but two weeks is a long time to eat eggs all the time, because boiled eggs were often the best on offer at lunchtime too. Friday night was gala night, with a singer in the restaurant and candles on tables, but we were almost finished eating before the waiter lit ours.
The glow from the Germans' tables helped us to see. Have noticed a lot of local people staying in these hotels in recent years, women wearing veils, men in long gowns. Do they eat such tasteless food at home? Apart from the restaurant the whole place was cold. People sitting around in coats and scarves. When we arrived they had experienced several weeks of bad weather; people were absolutely fed up.
Very clean, and staff very friendly - Review of Marhaba Beach
We had 4 good days out of 14 Feb into March and were happy to leave. Football is on all the time, in the bar, it seems. If you want a drink in a smoke-free area go into the Salon bar, which opens at 5pm. No smoking allowed there, though often no-one serving on at the bar either.

Food in the next-door 3 star Marhaba was much better. Areas outside the hotels in Sousse - never the nicest of places - have deteriorated noticeably since our earlier visits; and the Port was more quiet and the vendors more 'pushy' than before. Not a nice experience. We decided within the first few days that we were done with Tunisia, and this has nothing to do with the new 'Solidary Tax' which has recently been introduced.
Even Enfidha airport, a clean and modern place, has got it all wrong, in our opinion, allowing smoking in all their restaurants. If this is your first trip to Tunisia be aware that you are there to be parted from your Dinar from the off. Unless you need assistance at the airport don't pass your cases to anyone except the driver of your bus, and be sure that it's not someone else prepared to carry it just a few yards to the driver, and "English money very good! At the hotel a predictable scenario enfolds; the porter will insist on taking everyone's cases to their rooms and, once there, just to ensure a tip, will show you how your telly works, then "fix" it for you when it doesn't.
Must have an arrangement with the maids to unplug the aerial, because this always happens.

Give the guy a Dinar, it's the only time you'll see him smile until the day you leave. The maids: It's worth leaving them a Dinar a day for the good job they do in the main, but sometimes they don't want to wait, and will bring toilet rolls, or towels, or something they 'forgot' to replenish earlier, hopeful of an early Dinar.
Enjoy these little scenarios as they play out, and you may even enjoy your holiday - weather permitting! We stayed for a week all inclusive.

It really was dirt cheap so you have to balance views with what value you get. For us it was good value for money. The beer was drinkable, the food was ok and there was plenty of choice, so everyone could find something to eat! Rooms were tired though and in need of renovation. Indoor pool was good didn't try outdoor as weather was too cold when we were there.

Entertainment was on every night if you could call it that but the team did there best and it did add to the atmosphere of the place. The staff were excellent and friendly. Top tip, give the staff a tip of say 20 dinars when you get there.
