That was yet another thing I loved about it. You know me, I'm all about the darker books. And of course there was Oliver, my favorite character from this series. He's just so wonderful and he was amazing in this book.

I love how well he knows Bea and how well she knows him in return. I'm not sure if she actually deserves him but I do want them to be endgame although I'm not sure if there'll be another book but a girl can dream They have a real and strong connection. I was also really glad that he made Bea see sense eventually. It's definitely one of my most favorite books by her and a very powerful story as well. I can't recommend this series high enough. It also features different paranormal creatures and people with various powers.
I liked this next book in the F. The main character spends most of the book being severely depressed about events in the last book, and avoids going back to work with the F. Of course they don't, and by the end of the book she goes back to the squad; but for most of the book none of the other characters are present, and we're left listening to Beatrice's angst, which got kind of dull and repetitive. I liked the book. But had too much sex in it and too many f words also.
I also wanted to slap Bea for treating her family so bad. I did also think the book was better at the end.

I like that Oliver saved Bea again and she became her old self again. I hope Ms Harlow writes more in this series. I have to say I was apprehensive starting this series, but it was so so so amazing. I couldn't put it down. Fell in love with all the characters and was surprised with plot twists. Its like x men crossed with true blood and I can't wait for more.
I read this in one day, I absolutely loved it. It's been quite a while since a book choked me up, but this one sure did. I'm looking forward to another installment, but if not, totally happy with the ending! Thank you Jennifer Harlow for such a wonderful series. Though the road is never smooth for Bea, she gets what she needs in the end. This book was amazing. I love the F. S series and this book did not disappoint. I read the whole book in like a day, I legitimately could not put it down.
The loayalty and love between Oliver and bea is so heartwarming. I really love the whole series. That said, this was not my favorite book init, but I can see how it may have been necessary for character development so that the next novel has somewhere to go!
